Google MapThe city of Laingsburg is located on the western border of Shiawassee County about 15 miles northeast of Lansing. This traditional agricultural area is slowly changing to a more urban nature. It is supported by a growing local business base and resident commuters who work in Lansing. The main East/West road through Laingsburg is an old Indian trail, thus it is a pleasantly curvy rural road with century old maple trees lining the route. In the Autumn the maple trees lining Grand River Avenue form a tunnel of brilliant color foliage. The road is a frequent route of touring motorcycles and sports cars. You will enjoy the drive to Laingsburg. The high school is equipped with a distance learning video conference classroom that allows students to take classes and interact with instructors that are based in other areas of the state and country. A portable version of this system is also available at the middle school. An addition to the high school in 2003 added a state of the art television studio, video editing computer lab, photography dark room, and 4 additional classrooms.
