The village of Maple Rapids is part of the Lansing - East Lansing metro area and is located 26 miles north of Lansing. It offers an easy commute with a quiet drive to US-127 followed by an unobstructed drive to Lansing.

This picturesque village is nearly self-contained with its own public library
and post office along with several stores, shops and places to eat. Schools are only a few miles away and easily accessible.

The Maple River flows through the village and is often the source of an awarding fishing experience. Other outdoor recreation is available at the Maple Rapids State Game Area, Rainbow Lake, and a nearby golf course.
